Pre Requirements

Belt promotions are always at the discretion of the head instructor. Factors such as above-average class attendance, natural ability, or competing could possibly shortened the time to blue belt, while a poor attitude, bad temper, or a lack of common morality outside the school could lengthen it. 

On average, 10 to 14 months of training with a minimum of 100 to 120 classes plus application of the following techniques.

• 6 Takedowns ( 3 Leg throws, 1 hip throws, 1 double legs, 1 single leg)

• 3 Sweeps (Reversals) from Guard Position

• 1 Sweeps from Half Guard

• 2 Chokes from Guard Position

• 2 Arm locks from Guard Position

• 2 Chokes from top position (Mount, Side Control, Knee on the Belly, Turtle)

• 2 Arm locks from top position (Mount, Side Control, Knee on the Belly)

• 2 Submissions from the Back Control

• 1 Escape from all basic submissions

• 3 Guard Passes on top of guard position

• 1 Half Guard Passes

• 3 Escapes from Side Control

• 2 Escapes from Mount

• 2 Escapes from Headlock (On Ground)

• 2 Escapes from Guillotine (On Ground)

• 3 Combination Attack from Side Mount

• 3 Combination Attack from Guard

• 2 Combination Attack from Mount

• 2 Combination Attack from Back Mount

Self Defense

• Stand in base

• Single Handed Wrist Grab – Thumb Up

• Single Handed Wrist Grab – Thumb Down

• Two Handed Wrist Grab

• Defence against two handed strangle

• Defence against front bear hug over arms

• Defence against front bear hug under arms

• Defence against standing headlock – Holding Only

• Defence against standing headlock – Holding & Hitting

• 4 Submissions from the Back Control

• 2 Escapes from all basic submissions

• 5 Guard Passes on top of guard position

• 2 Half Guard Passes

• 2 Escapes from Side Control

• 2 Escapes from Mount

• 1 Escape from Knee on the belly

• 3 Escapes from Headlock (On Ground)

• 2 Escapes from Guillotine (On Ground)

• 4 Combination Attack from Side Mount

• 4 Combination Attack from Guard

• 3 Combination Attack from Mount

Self Defense

• Blue Belt Self Defence, plus:

• Single Handed Collar Grab

• Defence against rear bear hug over arms

• Defence against rear bear hug under arms

• Standing Choke from behind

• Standing Choke & Drag from behind

• Defence against Standing Guillotine

• 4 Escapes from Mount

• 2 Escape from Knee on the belly

• 4 Escapes from Headlock (On Ground)

Self Defense

• Blue & Purple Belt Self Defence, plus:
