Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) - BJJ 201
A continued exploration of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) theory, principles, technique, and body mechanics. Positional sparring and drilling are also core components as they help to develop the your muscle memory and physical understanding of the sport.
This is our intermediate, or skill expansion martial arts class, open to 1 stripe white belts and up. In this class you will spend an entire week on a single position, creating in depth familiarity with the offensive positions of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This class also follows a set curriculum. The modules in this martial arts class include:
Submissions- Gi choke series, kimura control, guillotine control, wristlocks, the armbar, the omoplata, foot locks and leg locks.
Intermediate Guards- Butterfly, Half & Z-Guard.
Advanced Sport Guards: DelaRiva/RDLR, Spider, Deep Half, 50/50, 2 on 1, X/Single leg X, Rubber.
* Note - BJJ 201 Classes require a minimum of 1 stripe (or in some cases special permission from the head instructor)
