brazilian jiu jitsu (bjj) - Fundamentals one

Designed to provide students with a solid foundation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through basic BJJ theory, technique and principles. Each class incorporates flow drills designed to help students internalize the fluid body mechanics behind the concepts they are learning.

This class follows a set curriculum that is vital to a beginner’s progression in Jiu Jitsu. Fundamental techniques are taught in a controlled setting to make sure students effectively learn basic techniques that will help build onto the next level of their progression. Each class begins with a basic warm up involving positions that each beginner will need to learn and familiarize themselves with to become proficient in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

After a brief warm up, the class then goes into specific positional training where step by step instruction is given so each individual can perform the position and become proficient in the position being taught. Each class ends with controlled drilling of the moves to help develop muscle memory making the positions second nature.
